What is Moist Toilet Tissue?

Moist toilet tissue is a more eco-friendly way to maintain personal hygiene both at home and while out and about. It combines the convenience and effectiveness of wet wipes, with the more eco-friendly nature of toilet paper.

Moist toilet tissue, when manufactured (and disposed of) correctly, is fully flushable. Here’s how.

If we take Albaad’s hydrofine technology as an example, when applied to their moist toilet tissue manufacturing it produces a fully flushable wipe produced from a strong and electric-based sheet. This has the added bonus of producing a strong, reliable wipe and one that is also biodegradable. This is what makes quality, sustainable moist toilet tissue unique.

A quality moist toilet tissue must also pass regulatory standards in the country where it is going to be distributed, sold and used. Generally these regulations involve a flushability test.

The 3 main standards for moist toilet tissue include –

  1. The IWSFG Flushability Standard Test
  2. Fine to Flush Standards (UK Water Industry)
  3. EDANA/INDA flushability guidelines, GD-4 compliant

Passing all of these standards ensures a moist toilet tissue is fully flushable.

Moist toilet tissue can be manufactured to meet the needs of any distributor. The types available include –

For adults, with extra conditioning agents.

For children, with fun and fruity fragrances.

For feminine hygiene and intimate areas, requiring sensitive ingredients.

Moist toilet tissue can be used at home, or on the go. It offers all of the convenience and effectiveness of wet wipes, and it is flushable too.
